Description

Cats are creatures of habit and changes in their routine or in the environment can trigger cat stress. A stressed cat can act out by scratching-up furniture or peeing outside of the litter box. Comfort Zone has a full line of cat calming products, including cat calming diffusers, multi cat calming diffusers, and cat pheromone collars. To reduce urine marking and limit destructive scratching on objects, hold the bottle approximately 4 inches away from the prominent object(s) that is attractive to your cat. Depress the spray nozzle 5 times onto the object(s). Be sure to apply the product where your cat urine marks or areas of scratching. DO NOT SPRAY DIRECTLY ON CAT. Repeat this once per day at a minimum. If there are no fresh urine marks for any given day, then skip this step.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our little guy is finally coming out and interacting with our family! Our kids can make him feel very overwhelmed but now he’s been so calm and friendly. Great product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I have 2 stray cats that have made themselves at home… kind of. The older one is not really a fan of the younger one and they’ve been bickering and territorial peeing around the house (thankfully we’re doing a lot of renovating so there’s no carpet in the house at the moment). I’m not sure how well the results are for the peeing as I feel like I should test it a bit longer to see results, it’s been about 4 weeks but I can’t say they’ve completely stopped the peeing. It is only in the bathroom now as opposed to 3 different rooms so it is progress just not fully corrected. I do spray enzyme cleaner when they do pee in a spot so I don’t know if that messes with the results or not to be honest. I will say however they haven’t shown any signs of physical aggression towards each other for a bit, the older one still screams at the other one if she’s too close to her, but the other day they were hanging out with each other with the wall of a cardboard box between them so progress? Aside from just not knowing how much the product works for my instance it is packaged really nicely. I do appreciate that it’s a nice glass bottle as opposed to a flimsy plastic one. And that it’s a compact travel size in the case I have to bring anyone to the vet. It’s also only 2 ingredients (that I know nothing about to be honest) but I thought that was neat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice product. My cats try to scratch carpets, beds, chairs, etc. I sprayed my carpet and it definitely helped them to no longer scratch that area. I like the safety for pets and that theirs no lingering fragrance or residue left behind. I’ll continue using this product to help keep my home scratch free!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using this product on my couch where my little cat is usually laying on and so far so good I’ve noticed my cat lays more often :-) I would have to have it tested for longer to see if there are more positive effects for example. She’s peed in certain spots before, but it hasn’t happened in a long time so I have to test it out and see if it’s working good but so far nothing bad to say.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don’t think this actually works. My cat is still acting just as crazy as before. The dispenser was nice and I think the size is adequate, but I wish it was bigger and did not leak so easily. It leaked in transit and got all over me when I sprayed this in the house. I don’t know if I would say this a good value since it does not work for my cat

Helps calm my cat, not harm him!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cat loves to tear up the couch cushions and the carpeted stairs, but this spray has helped tremendously! I was a bit worried about the spray smelling bad or staining the fabric I sprayed it onto, but luckily I didn’t need to be concerned about that!i After using the spray my cat seemed curious about the scent, but he didn’t scratch! I am so impressed with the calming effect this spray has, and I like that it doesn’t deter my cat from scratching by spraying a bad smell, but instead is a calming smell. I will be using it in the future for vet visits, since my cat gets so anxious! The small bottle makes it easy to transport if needed. My cat doesn’t spray outside the litterbox, but I will be recommending this spray for my mom’s cat who doesn’t!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wasn’t sure if it would work, but it actually seems to help. After spraying the areas my cat used to scratch, he stopped scratching those spots. He used to scratch the couch, but I haven’t noticed him doing it lately after I started using the spray. I can’t say anything about the marking part because my cat doesn’t do that. I didn’t notice any scent from the spray.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I started using this product back in June. I followed the directions to a T but have noticed no change in my cats behavior. I will say, the product did not bleach or stain my couch. And it left behind no odor which was nice. But i wouldn’t go and re-buy this after trying for about a month.

Questions

1 - 10 of 12 Questions

What are the ingredients in this spray? Does it contain synthetic F3 pheromone?

Would you recommend spraying this on my feet to keep my new kittens from chewing on my toes?

    1. No, we would not.

I read a question from 2 years ago where this Comfort Zone scratch control is safe to spray on leather furniture. I'm just double checking incase this has changed. Have new recliner. Thank you

    1. We recommend testing it in a small area prior to spraying a large amount since it’s alcohol-based.

Can this be used on my carpet my cat is always Scatching the stairs carpet .. I need something to help it don't wanna get her Declaw but that will be my next step????

    1. Yes this will help them from scratching. You also can buy covers for their nails and your vet can put them on. NEVER DE-CLAW A CAT. PEOPLE DO NOT REALIZE BUT WHEN THEY DE-CLAW A CAT THEY ARE ACTUALLY CUTTING FROM THEIR NUCKLES TO THE NAIL, SO BASICALLY, THEY ARE REMOVING THEIR TOES. IT WOULD BE LIKE SOMEONE REMOVING YOUR TOES. Always look at the many options out their to help. Also a couple of scratching posts or a cat tree with many scaratching posts.

Can I spray this on doors? Or is it more suited for furniture? I'm wondering if it'll have the same effect.

    1. Yes, you can spray this on doors.

I'm confused - it seems like the directions are to spray it somewhere to act as a deterent to sparaying or scratching, but also spray can be used to calm cats down (that's what I need) - which would indicate to spray it where they like to hang out..?

    1. It works as both.  You spray where you don’t want them to go but it’s a calming aid also.

Will this work on outdoor furniture?

    1. Yes, it should.

I am having trouble w one or more of my cats peeing in the same area of my kitchen.  I have been gone as far as replacing the floor.  The litter box is being used as well.  Not sure if this is habit.  will this product help w urine marking?

    1. It should! We would also recommend trying one of our Calming Diffusers which helps reduce your cat's stress response behaviors like destructive scratching and urine marking.

is it safe to use around dogs indoors too?

    1. Yes, it is.

How long is the spay effective before I need to spray again?

    1. Once a week after established, but every three days in the beginning.
