Questions
Is this skimmer smaller than the Coralife V2? The V2 is just too tight of a fit in the 16g biocube. I would think a smaller version could be made to fit the 14 & 16 gal tanks, even if it needed an air pump to run, this would also reduce heat buildup
- Thanks for your question! The Coralife BioCube Protein Skimmer listed here is the same model as the BioCube Protein Skimmer V2, so it is not a smaller version. However, the skimmer can fit in the BioCube 16 with the proper installation. To install it, first remove the false floor from the right-side inlet chamber. Then, position the pump in the front left corner of the chamber and the skimmer body in the rear right corner. The skimmer does not clip onto the chamber wall but is instead held securely in place by its snug fit within the chamber. If you have any additional questions or need assistance with installation, our Coralife Consumer Care team would be happy to help at 1-888-255-4527 or https://www.coralifeproducts.com/contact-us.
