Customers say

Customers overwhelmingly praise this food for exciting even picky eaters, with dogs eagerly finishing meals and licking bowls clean. The beef and russet potato recipe is a consistent favorite. Reviewers report noticeable improvements in digestion, healthier bowel movements, softer coats, and increased energy levels. Many note their dogs with sensitivities or dental issues tolerate it well. Visible whole-food ingredients like meat, potatoes, and vegetables are frequently cited as appealing. A small number report their dogs rejected the food or experienced digestive upset, but overall, most customers find it a worthwhile upgrade.

The supplements are good. Have used for approx 15 years making fresh food for 3 dogs. On occasion I will buy the fresh frozen food. Our dog likes better than another competitor.

This is the only food our picky dog will eat. I wish you sold the smaller packs as she only eats half at a time

My picky eater will only eat this!

My picky GSD will only eat beef and potatoes from JFFD. She refuses to eat kibble or any other natural brand. On the upside when we made the switch 8 years ago her coat started glowing. Her nails weren’t brittle. The stool was perfect everytime. Her excitement for feedings has never changed and she knows when it’s breakfast or dinner it’s about to be the best part of her day!

my pup loves this food and it is exactly what i had been looking for; this is the 4th protein we have tried and he thrives on it. his digestion is great, no more issues with glands, shiny coat, zero bad breath. i love that the food is balanced and vet formulated. it is expensive but worth every penny.

Questions

1 - 9 of 9 Questions

Hello, I have been a consumer of this pet food for years. After hearing these reviews I am wondering how good is this product. In addition, one of the customers had mentioned that there was not a enough meet in the package. I would like some valid info.

  1. JFFD Beef and Russet Potato is the only food my dog will eat. She is an eleven year old GSD rescue, eating this variety for around nine years. The diet works very well for her and her vet agreed she is doing great with this food. I’ve made the JFFD recipe with their supplement and other items picked up at the grocery store when we were in locations where the frozen was not available. The fresh frozen appear to have similar amounts of beef to what the recipe provides. My dog loves the JFFD beef and potato fresh frozen food and is always excited to be fed and cleans her bowl each feeding.

Hello, I have been a consumer of this pet food for years. After hearing these reviews I am wondering how good is this product. In addition, one of the customers had mentioned that there was not a enough meet in the package. I would like some valid info.

  1. My dog will eat it then stop liking it.

I have a 19 lb dog, but i use one package in about 3 days. I am feeding her too much. She is 13 and has a big appetite. Also, I read one of the reviews for the Pet Fresh dog food, and the review had mention that she do not see any chicken in the package

  1. My dog is 23 pounds and eats a total of 3/4 cup of Just Food For Dogs plus treats daily. There is no chicken in the beef recipe, but there is a separate chicken recipe.

Why can’t I warm it up be for serving it to my do. It’s so cold, she would like it better if it was warm and you could smell it.

  1. Add warm water and mix

My dogs love this food and as a retired Vet Tech, I love the healthy options for them. However, since I have very small dogs, the food does start to get rancid about a week before we are finished with the package. Do you have any suggestions?

  1. I think the package says not to refreeze the food, but I do split it into smaller portions and refreeze. I have a vacuum sealer to make it easier to do.

When will this be restocked? This is the the only food my dog has eaten for the past year. It has now been out of stock for awhile.

I have been a customer for several years and never had a problem with delivery to Agua Dulce. Why have you stopped delivery to this area?

How many cups per day would our 3 yr old German Shepherd get?

JustForDogs--how many calories per oz or pound or cup, My dog needs 300 calories per day

        1. Jim, thanks for checking out our Beef & Russet Potato recipe - it is one of our most popular!  The recipe has 38 calories per ounce, and you can always find more info @ https://www.justfoodfordogs.com/beef-russet-potato.
