Customers say
Customers overwhelmingly praise this kitten milk replacer as essential for orphaned and undernourished kittens, with nearly universal satisfaction. Reviewers report kittens thrive on it—gaining weight, developing strong digestion, and showing improved energy and coat condition. Many foster and rescue users rely on it for years, noting kittens eagerly consume it with no digestive upset. Beyond newborns, customers use it for elderly or sick cats needing gentle nutrition. The powder mixes easily and delivers consistent results. A few mention price concerns, and a small number report mixing difficulties, but these are vastly outweighed by positive feedback praising it as the most dependable option available.

Questions
I rescued a baby raccoon in the wild and it's eyes and ears haven't opened yet can I feed it kmr kitten milk in replacement of its mother's milk or like the baby rabbit will it also need to eat some yogurt to help on its digestion of kmr?
- Kitten Milk Replacer (KMR) can be used to feed orphaned baby raccoons, but some wildlife rehabilitators have reported issues with it. For example, one rehabilitator reported that two newborn raccoons died after drinking KMR because the formula congealed in their stomachs. A necropsy revealed that the raccoons' bodies were unable to digest the formula, possibly due to the butterfat that was added to KMR a few years earlier. If they'll take plain yogurt; I've never seen a con to it. Water down the kmr a bit more than usual and make sure it's well blended. Discard whatever they don't consume during the feeding attempt.

does this product provide colostrum? other kittens supplement pridductsmeantio .it on label but not yours - why ?
- I don't believe that it provides colostrum. For that, you may need to use a Colostrum supplement. Check with Fox Valley Animal Nutrition; they may have it, either included in their kitten formula or separately.

- Wanting to know if this formula will become sticky once mixed together. The liquid formula is very sticky from the condensed milk

How long will a bottle keep once you make up a bottle?
- The directions say to use within 24 hours. The older ones that like it don't care for it once it's been refrigerated and warmed up.

Can I feed this to new born baby rabbits ? If so , how do I feed them this ?
- YES. I handraised a wild baby rabbit with KMR from the time she was only a week old (eyes & ears still sealed). Just follow the directions on the can. I used the same recipe listed for kittens. The rabbit grew into a spoiled, affectionate lap pet, so returning her to the wild was out of the question. I couldn't teach her things her mother would have taught her...anyway, the rabbit loved KMR so much, she started having little tantrums when I started weaning her. I solved this by adding a little of the dry powder to her food, lessening the amount over time. If I remember correctly, I had to feed her every two hours at first. Also, REMEMBER to give your bunny a mouthful of plain yogurt or Bene Bac after every feeding; this is to give him/her certain bacteria the rabbit needs to digest the KMR, since KMR is not its mother's milk. And after feeding, rub the rabbit's tummy with a warm, damp washcloth so that it will use the bathroom - normally, the mother rabbit would lick the baby to get its system to work, so you'll have to do this for her. Keep the bunny warm on a low-set heat pad for the first 2-3 weeks, and pet it a lot to help it socialize. Good luck!

Can I feed my 18-year-old cat KMR for kittens?
- If it contains lactase which is the enzyme to break down the lactose a dairy sugar then the older cat might do OK on it. The label should tell. But if the cat is trowing up could be a food alley or some other medical issue. Have you taken it to the vet concerning this issue? Try some canned food little at a time with limited ingredients. Start with chicken or turkey, if no issues on that then move on to fish or salmon. This way can see if they are sensitive to certain ingredients I have a couple I am going thru this with also and they sometimes have had urinary issues. and beef makes them throw up but allergies can be almost anything. Feed the ones without issues for several days without switching to try another. Good Luck!
