Yes there are some over the counter products you can try such as the thunder shirt or an Adaptil collar or diffuser. However if you want something that will work without fail I would try Alprazolam or Valium but these require a prescription through your vet so schedule an appt soon. I hope everything works out for your pets and happy holidays.

It sounds as though Skye may have anxiety when travelling. I would recommend using a product called NaturVet Quiet Moments Calm Chews with Melatonin, which can be found online quite easily. I would also consider using products such as Rescue Remedy for dogs and an Adaptil Pheremone collar, which also can be found online. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.

Hi there. Thundershirts can be helpful for some dogs, while others don't like them or don't really respond to them one way or the other. So you can try this - it may or may not help. Other over-the-counter options that might be helpful would include an Adaptil pheromone collar, along with a natural calming supplement like Zylkene or Composure.

Hi there and thanks for posting on PetCoach! Some dogs respond to the thundershirt better than others, but in general, it does work very well at easing tension and anxiety in most dogs who wear the wrap. If Riley's anxiety is very pronounced during fireworks, you may want to talk to his veterinarian about anti-anxiety medications that can be prescribed. Calming chewables that have L-Theanine in them can also help as well at easing tension. I have linked an example of the calming chewables below. I hope this helps!

Hi and thank you for using PetCoach! You can always try the ThunderShirt which can be purchased at your local Pet Supplies Store or Amazon. It has mixed reviews, but may be worth a try! Calming chewables with L-Theanine in them can help as well. There are lots of different kinds available, but I recommend these (linked below). https://www.amazon.com/VetriScience-Laboratories-Composure-Medium-Large/dp/B001WOOC9S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1505057605&sr=8-1&keywords=Vetri+Science+Calming+Chew Having Tux in an area of the house where he cannot hear or see the storm can help as well (comfortable basement area ). I hope this helps and best wishes to you and Tux!
